Tenuta di Trinoro situated in southern Tuscany in the Val d'Orcia. It lies between 500 and 700 metres above sea level, facing west-south-west and is protected by two mountains. Owner and winemaker Andrea Franchetti acquired the property in the 1980s and started planting his first vines in the 1990s. Planting at 10,000 vines per hectare, no herbicides or pesticides are used. Tenuta di Trinoro has a mosaic of soils. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot are the major varietals.
